The Disney Designer Collection is proud to introduce the Ultimate Princess Celebration, a limited edition series of dolls carefully crafted by artists across The Walt Disney Company. When asked to design a Disney Ultimate Princess doll, Tetsunosuke Saiki chose Rapunzel, as the way she had to leave her tower to discover the world outside resonated with him.

About Designer Tetsunosuke Saiki
Tetsunosuke Saiki was bown in Yokohama, Japan. After university, he moved to London, where he studied milliner and leathercraft. For the last ten years, he has been working at The Walt Disney Company Japan as a a designer in the fashion department.
When Tetsu watched the Disney film Tangled for the first time, he felt 'Ah, I know the feeling,' being an only child who spent much time with his imagination, drawing, reading, painting, and playing with his toys. (Don't worry – his mum isn't like Mother Gothel!) Tetsu never felt uncomfortable with being alone, but often thought there must be something else.
After graduating from university and moving to London to study fashion, he found something he had been seeking for a long time. All of the new experiences came to him like a flood, like Rapunzel felt when she first left the tower. It wasn't always easy, as many experiences were unfamiliar to him, but Tetsu, like Rapunzel, was brave enough to jump into something unknown. Tetsu believes everyone can share a moment of opening a new door to find a 'A new you.' The film Tangled, and Rapunzel, always remind him that more of life's discoveries await.
